Itinerary
Day 1 3 pyramids, sphinx & the Egyptian museum:
OMANIA representative will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to begin your tour.
Our experienced Egyptologist guide will accompany you to the Giza Pyramids and the enigmatic Sphinx to enjoy the tour and hear the narrative of one of the world’s seven wonders.
After that
you will see the Valley Temple, which is part of the Chephren Pyramids.
Then will take you to have your lunch at one of the best local restaurants in Cairo.
Once a delicious lunch and your favorite drink, we will drive you to the Papyrus Institute, where you will see how ancient Egyptians made papyrus in their factories and used it to write.
You will also be able to buy and write your name on papyrus once it has been made.
Then we will take you to the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is one of the largest museums in the world, with 120,000 exhibits on display, some of which date back to 3,100 BC.
Nearly 250,000 real objects are on display, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen’s collection of treasure, gold, and jewelry, which was kept in his tomb for nearly 3,500 years before being found in 1920 during the excavation.
Then drive to Cairo hotel for overnight.
Day 2 Cairo Citadel, Old Cairo & Khan El Khaleli bazaar:
OMANIA Egyptologist guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a magnificent day tour of Cairo’s Islamic and Coptic landmarks.
Will first drive you to Cairo Citadel, also known as Saladin Citadel, where you will see panoramic views of old Cairo and take photos. You will also visit the Muhammad Ali Mosque (placed inside the Citadel).
Afterwards, you will visit Old Cairo and see the most famous sites, such as the Hanging Church (constructed in the 3rd century A.D.) and the Amr Ibn El-as Mosque (the earliest mosque erected in Egypt), as well as walk through the old district with an explanation from our experienced guide.
