Your first stop in Aswan would be to visit the High Dam, the most important industrial project in Egypt. Erected in 1960s. It represents the most prominent engineering projects in the modern era which is responsible for controlling the Nile’s water, generating electric power, supplying Aswan with drinking water & supporting other areas too. The views of the lake Nasser (which is one of the world’s largest artificial lakes) from above the dam is very stunning.
Then move to visit the Unfinished Obelisk, it is located in the ancient granite quarries in Aswan.
Ancient Egyptians tried to shape it in order to become the longest obelisk in history but couldn’t finish. Then take a motorboat cruise to discover the island Philae temple which is devoted to the goddess of all Egyptian goddesses, Isis. Philae Temple is located on island (Agilkia) and it is featured by amazing architecture & well preserved scenes on reliefs. It has been relocated stone by stone as the building of the High dam flooded the original location.
